THE CLIENT

FinTech Scotland is an independent, not-for-profit cluster body jointly established with the financial services sector, universities and Scottish Enterprise to ensure that Scotland seizes the fintech opportunities and achieves positive economic and social outcomes by encouraging financial innovation, collaboration and inclusion as part of the broader digital economy objectives.

FinTech Scotland’s core objectives are to develop an innovative community of fintech firms, generate impactful collaborations between firms of all sizes and foster an inclusive cluster which is UK and globally recognised and connected.

THE CHALLENGE

FinTech Scotland needed to raise its profile and awareness of how it is contributing to Scotland’s economic, social and environmental prosperity. An integrated campaign was required targeting key industry and media stakeholders and galvanising the active and thriving Scottish fintech community around key events celebrating significant milestones, culminating in the Scotland Fintech Festival 2023.

THE CAMPAIGNS

  • Brand profile was built through a strategic and integrated approach to increase FinTech Scotland’s profile and gravitas.
  • Following an in-depth workshop to understand FinTech Scotland’s core priorities, we developed crystal clear messaging to educate and evidence impact. The messaging set served as a blueprint for all content and fueled fresh ideas to convey how FinTech Scotland is delivering on its visionary pathway.
  • The integrated campaign strategy delivered a consistent media profile in fintech, Scottish and UK national press. The central pillar of our content strategy focused on using Fintech Scotland’s ‘voice’ to illustrate its leadership and expertise in fintech and innovation by telling the stories of cluster members and gaining visibility of FinTech Scotland’s key milestones and initiatives.
  • We provided full press office support alongside writing blogs and thought leadership articles to communicate success and initiatives, such as the launch of the Financial Regulation Innovation Lab (FRIL) and updates on economic growth the FinTech Research and Innovation Roadmap is continuing to deliver.
  • All content was amplified via social media channels with compelling visuals and content including a podcast and video vox pops.
  • We devised a communications strategy for the Scotland Fintech Festival 2023, a three week programme of fintech events, to build an atmosphere to excite curiosity; and build a community of industry professionals and academics to share expertise, insights and create meaningful relationships within the Scottish fintech sector. We brought together media relations, newsletters, a content series, social media and attendee communications.

  • Fintech Scotland’s visibility and credibility as a leader in fintech and innovation is now firmly established
