Last month I was invited to chair the Launch of the Kalifa Review, the independent review of the UK Fintech Industry. Rich with insights, the review places a keen focus on five key areas to help the UK maintain its dominant global status: policy and regulation, skills, investment, international collaboration and UK connectivity. This could not be a more exciting time for the industry as the government, policy makers, industry bodies and practitioners align and support the sector’s domestic and international success. Keen to look beyond London, I published my thoughts about what this means for Birmingham as an “established cluster” and our StreetsTalksTo ‘Supertech’ episode focuses on the West Midlands’ developments and regional focus.
