Word on the Streets: Client Spotlights and Industry Insights

TradeTech Amsterdam and Innovate Finance Global Summit (IFGS) in London brought to a close an intense few weeks of events, conversations and on the ground insights for the team. From fintech and policy debates at IFGS through to structural discussions at TradeTech spanning AI, 24/5 trading and digital assets, a clearer direction of travel is emerging. Our key takeaways are below.

Alongside this, we have continued mentoring with the Accenture FinTech Innovation Lab, now in our 11th year, helping the latest cohort sharpen their narratives and deliver with confidence.

As we come out of this events cycle, the focus shifts to execution. For our clients, that means recalibrating post-event campaigns to convert momentum into pipeline. For us, it means continuing to build out our CMO-as-a-Service model, advancing our SEO and GEO capabilities, embedding the right AI tools, and rolling out targeted ABM programmes. We are also pleased to be strengthening the team on the GTM side.

I would be delighted to have a dialogue on how this matters to you. Send me an email and let’s continue the conversation.

Kind regards,

Ian Stirling, CEO

The AI product ‘arms race’ continues apace
In a busy month for OpenAI, the company launched ChatGPT Images 2.0, a state-of-the-art model that Open AI says introduces “thinking” capabilities to image generation, allowing for web-informed reasoning, 2K resolution, and precise rendering of complex typography and non-Latin scripts. OpenAI also launched ChatGPT-5.5, a new flagship model the company says is specifically engineered for agentic tasks and complex, multi-step workflows.

In very similar moves, Anthropic launched Claude Opus 4.7, which it claims is its most advanced model to date, featuring a new “adaptive thinking” capability that allows the system to dynamically scale its reasoning effort based on task complexity. Anthropic also launched Claude Design, a new collaborative visual workspace within Anthropic Labs that allows users to create professional prototypes, slide decks, and one-pagers through conversational prompts.

Google has launched Gemini Enterprise, a unified AI platform that positions autonomous agents as the central engine for its enterprise monetisation strategy. By rebranding Vertex AI and introducing eighth-generation processing units specifically designed for the “agentic era,” the company is shifting focus from basic chatbots to production-ready digital assistants that can independently plan and execute complex business workflows.

AI adoption in financial services continues, sort of
A new report from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance reveals that while 81% of financial services firms have adopted AI, a significant execution gap remains between experimentation and strategic integration. Although over half of the industry is now testing agentic AI, most applications are currently limited to back-office efficiency rather than fundamental business model transformation.

Accenture is rolling out Microsoft’s Copilot to its entire workforce of 743,000 employees, marking the largest enterprise deployment of the AI assistant to date. The move follows successful internal trials where 97% of staff reported faster completion of routine tasks and 53% noted significant productivity gains.

This massive capital infusion, following a similar multibillion-dollar commitment from Amazon, underscores the intensifying arms race for enterprise-grade AI as Anthropic scales its computing capacity to meet surging demand for its Claude models.
